Would you concur that best answer for reforming the position of women, in addition to laying the groundwork upon which a host of other issues can be addressed would be a more pious Islamic education? It would seem that madrasahs would be logical place to start turning these tides. In liberating the other 1/2 of the population of any oppressive Muslim country, this would also seem to be a huge way in which development might be bolstered. More people in the workforce -> more tax revenues -> better infrastructures, production rates, exports, investment, not to mention a flourishing of civil society. This is my humble opinion, but I would appreciate your view on my comments.
